The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) continues to nurture globally minded learners, and this was reflected in the outstanding performance of our students at the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC).
The World Scholar’s Cup is an internationally recognized academic competition that celebrates curiosity, critical thinking, and collaborative learning. It brings together students from across the world to engage in a range of intellectually stimulating events, including debates, collaborative writing, quizzes, and team challenges across diverse subjects such as literature, history, science, arts, and global issues.
Twelve of our MYP students participated in the Mohali Regional Round held on 1 and 2 May 2026, where they demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm, teamwork, and academic rigour. The competition provided them with a platform to think beyond the classroom, engage in interdisciplinary learning, and develop key skills such as communication, analysis, and creative problem-solving.
Each of our young winners bagged a medal. Their names are as follows:
Shivansh Bhalla (MYP 2)
Vimoha Choudhary (MYP 3)
Arika Bhatia (MYP 3)
Ruheen Lamba (MYP 3)
Saadhya Nagpal (MYP 3)
Mannat Arora (MYP 3)
Aalia Kathuria (MYP 3)
Anusha Singh (MYP 3)
Kabeer Singh (MYP 3)
Anika Chawla (MYP 4)
Ainesh Adveek (MYP 4)
Rishi Talwar (MYP 4)
The cohort delivered an outstanding performance, securing 14 gold medals and 30 silver medals across individual and team events. Ruheen Lamba (MYP 3) emerged as a Scholar Champion (Gold), while Rishi Talwar (MYP 4) secured a Silver, reflecting excellence across multiple event formats. This achievement highlights not just strong subject knowledge, but the ability to collaborate effectively, make interdisciplinary connections, and think critically under pressure.
A particularly commendable milestone is that all four participating teams have qualified for the Global Round, marking a significant step forward in their academic journey.
This experience has been invaluable in fostering confidence, global awareness, and a genuine love for learning among our students, aligning closely with the ethos of the IB MYP.
