Meenu Ohlyan is the Vice Principal at Shiv Nadar School, Gurugram, and has been an integral part of the school community since 2016. Over the years, she has played a significant role in shaping the Middle Years programme, bringing both depth and sensitivity to one of the most formative stages in a learner’s journey.

With a strong academic foundation, Meenu holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in English, along with a B.A. (Honours) in Mathematics from the University of Delhi. Her academic journey reflects a unique blend of analytical rigour and literary insight, which informs her approach to both teaching and leadership. She has also pursued professional development through programmes such as the Cambridge PDQ, IBMYP CAT 1 (Leading the Learning), and the IIM Ahmedabad programme on Strategic Leadership for Schools in a Changing Environment.

Prior to her current role, Meenu served as Head of Middle Years, where she led academic and pastoral frameworks that support students through the critical transition from childhood to adolescence. Her work has been instrumental in strengthening pedagogical practices and fostering an environment where learners are encouraged to think critically, act ethically, and grow with confidence.

A former national volleyball player, Meenu brings the values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience into her leadership philosophy. She believes that education must extend beyond the classroom to nurture well-rounded, reflective, and adaptable individuals.

Deeply aligned with the ethos of Shiv Nadar School, Meenu is committed to humanising education in an increasingly complex and technology-driven world, ensuring that empathy, integrity, and purpose remain central to the learning experience.
